October 2, 2015

Bob: Pretty good day at work. Left with my desktop just about empty. Got part of the phone/text report done. Now I just have to figure out a way to print it so it's brief and shows the President what he wants.
We left just before 5 today. Closed up the shop a little early. Stopped at RD's Southern BBQ for going home and then onto the temple. 3 of the YSA singles were in the session with us. It was nice having them there.
In the dressing room I got to talking with another brother. He said he was President Clayton's secretary in the Mission Presidency. He said that he used to get a list of the missionaries just after each transfer, but he hasn't gotten one since May!! Told him that's when the mission office changed both couples and that we would try and get him a copy sent out ASAP. He said he could ask President Clayton about getting a copy. I suggested he do that and then President Clayton would let us know where to send it. I figure this will come up in Tuesday morning's meeting.
Weather was kind of cool today. Never got out of the 50s. Had to wear a sweater to the office. Tonight I wore my Columbia coat without the liner over the sweater. Saw a lot of people bundled up in winter coats today. Don't know what they'll do when it gets real cold.
Saw that Magnolia and Valley both won their games tonight.
Put a picture of Bonnie below. It is actually a little cooler at her desk. I think it is because she is right next to the door.
Bonnie's first social security check came today. I hope it is the one for September because her regular payday is the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Love to all. Good night, brother.
Love,
Dad/Bob

Bonnie:  It was a very good day today. The gift card for that Elder came first thing this morning. I was glad about that. I was able to catch up on several things which was good. The best part was going out to eat and then catching a temple session. We really like RDs. The slaw is delicious and the bar-be-qued meat is out of this world!
As Bob said we saw several YSAs at the temple tonight. Evan got his endowment about 1 month ago and tries to go every week. He is the home-teacher of Thomas, who has had a hard time making friends. Evan said that when they went home teaching his partner felt impressed to ask Thomas when he had attended the temple last. It had been about a year. So, they invited him to go tonight with Evan.Thomas lives about two hours away in Barrie, so it's quite an effort for him to come to the temple. I really love how the YSAs try to take care of each other. They really are a loving and accepting  bunch of young adults.
Well, it's late and we have lots to do in the morning before conference at noon. I'm sure that the first session will have lots and lots of people watching it! I pray for President Monson and all of the apostles as they call the new ones. May we love them and follow them!
Love,
Mom/Bonnie
