July 4, 2015

Bob: Hope everyone had a great 4th. We helped a group of new converts do proxy baptisms today. It was the first time any of them had been to the temple. There were 2 men and 5 women. It was very spiritual and I think each one loved their experience. Bonnie and I also got to see the Jakobs and Cambridges as they were at the temple too. Karl and Patsy's granddaughter got her endowments today. They were leaving just as we were getting started so we only got to say hi. Karl said he wants to tell me about a fish he hooked the other day, but it broke his 40 lb. test line and got away. He said he knew he should have kept the 50 lb. test on his reel.
This evening we had 2 sets of Sisters over for an American 4th of July dinner. One of the four is from England though. We had polish sausages, macaroni salad, watermelon and chips. Couldn't grill as there is only one grill and it was being used. We had a good time with them and had a red, white and blue dessert as Bonnie had raspberries, blueberries and white topping on short bread.
After they left we went for a walk. I had envisions of walking for about an hour, but we were back in about 30 minutes as both of us were saying our back hurt! We're not getting enough exercise that's for certain.
Well, Bonnie has gone to bed already so I'll say good night for both of us. Hope everyone had a pleasant holdiay.
Love,
Dad/Bob
