July 29, 2015

Bob: Fairly busy day. I believe we stayed till about 6. Brought the bills home and paid them from home. Had a great dinner of chili and home made biscuits. Not much going on tonight, but that's a good thing as the rest is quite welcome.
May have to make a short trip to Orangeville tomorrow. Never been there. It looks like about 35 minutes from the office. That's okay though as the price of gas is coming down again, at most stations that is. Yesterday morning the Petro-Canada station just up the street had 1.179 a liter. Another Petro-Canada station on the way to work had 1.057 a liter. How's that for a price variation in about 7 miles? According to my calculations with a monetary conversion rate of 1.3 the price equates to 3.08 a gallon in the US. Anyone want to check that for me?
Put a picture of Elder Ganowsky's cake below. Think I'll get another one it looks so good.
Love to all,
Dad/Bob

Bonnie: We are going to get another cake when the next AP leaves, but we'll serve it on Monday instead of Tuesday  so we can all enjoy it together. Below is a picture of Bob in his office. His desk actually looks good. At least you can see the top of the desk in places!
We've had probably 5 or 6 calls tonight between us. It seems like there is always someone wanting to know about something. One caller is interested in the furniture Bob has in the storage shed. Another set of sisters just moved into an apartment that had been rented to Elders. They said it was very dirty. When Bob talked to the missionaries that had moved out of it they said they only had an hour to clean it. Yet they had been there 18 weeks! Another call was about a family moving to Canada and did we know of any good places to move that was not expensive (ha ha), good for children, and close to a university here. Another call was from  Elders that had looked into renting another apartment, and another Elder called about putting money on his card so he could go to the doctor, etc etc.  At least we can answer these calls in our casual clothes relaxing on the couch!
We hope to have some of the missionary couples over Saturday night to play games. I hope it works out. Before that there is much to do, however, like hang/move pictures and clean the apartment. And we've been assigned to clean the Etobicoke Chapel with the YSAs Saturday morning and want to do a temple session as well. But I'm still grateful to be here and to be doing what the Lord wants us to be doing. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope that somehow I can be an instrument in His hands while on our mission.
Love to all,
Mom/Bonnie
