July 27, 2015

Bonnie: We  have an early day tomorrow because we are welcoming in the new missionaries in the morning. We both will have about 5 minutes to tell the "greenies" about what we do. Mind you, these are young adults who have been up for most of the night traveling here and they are apprehensive to say the least. That's why mine will be very short--that we're here to help them with things that will help their mission go smoother. Elder Erickson has to have most of the time because he talks about the vehicles.
We just got home from a YSA activity doing yardwork outside of the Temple. We got there just in time. Bob spread mulch and I weeded. It was great to get my hands in the dirt again. I miss that!
So, I'm off to bed, wishing all of you a lovely night.
Love,
Mom/Bonnie

Bob: I don't mind helping out, but I still don't like yard work!!!! It is what it is, WORK. With that said, they had a group of about 24 or so show up and there were about a dozen adults there too. We didn't work that long so it wasn't too bad. The treats afterwards make it worthwhile.
Before we started Bonnie and I walked around the temple. She had never seen the fountain in front, ever though we drive by it to get to the temple.
Had this great idea this morning to stop and order a cake for Elder Ganowsky for tomorrow. Thought everyone in the office could share it with him on his last day there. Found out later that he won't be here as they have activities planned for all the departing missionaries tomorrow.
Time to go to bed. Hope all is well with everyone.
Love,
Dad/Bob
