November 23, 2016

Bob: Started the day off with a 1700 meter swim. Wasn't tired when I finished, just bored. Swimming is getting boring, but it beats doing anything outside right now.
We left for Englehart at 12:15 to pick up the Cushmans. Got there 5 minutes late, and they came out the door as soon as we arrived. They were anxious to get out of the nursing home. Spent the day taking them around to different places to do some Christmas shopping. Then we brought them home and Bonnie fixed dinner for everyone. By the time we took them home and got back it was about 8:30. We are both really tired.
We did have a pleasant surprise today. Elder Carroll, one of the A/Ps, had come to Temiskaming to do a weekly exchange. He stopped and delivered mail that had come to the Mission Office for us. He said he would be back in a week to pick up Elder Sabin, the other A/P. Told him to call us next time and we might be able to have lunch.
Time for bed. Hope everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving weekend. Love to all and good night brothers.

Bonnie:  It's been a fun though tiring day. Karol wanted a small Christmas tree to put on a book shelf in their room at the nursing home. I bought one at Salvation Army, but it's not the best looking tree. So we ended up buying one at the Dollar Store for $3.00. Then, we  had to get some decorations for it. We went to Walmart for that. On the way to taking Cushmans home we stopped a second time at Walmart to get them some rice cakes. We stopped a third time on the way back to our apartment to get two pies and ice cream for our Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow. We also made two trips to Giant Tiger because Warren left his cane there. Because Karol uses a walker I was delegated to run into these places and get the needed items. When we got to the nursing home, I helped Karol decorate their tree and finish up a present for Warren. I think we did well today, all things considered.
I hope everyone will have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. We both are so thankful for all of you!
Love, Mom/Bonnie
