November 22. 2016

Bob: Well we are digging out of the first snow storm. The packed snow and ice melted some today. Some of the roadways are clean down to the pavement, but most still have some ice and a lot of slush. We'll see what tomorrow brings. No new snow scheduled until Friday.
Bonnie had a VT visit this morning that I accompanied her on. The Sister is in a bad situation at the present time. She is divorced with a 5 year old son. The father lives in the area. She has no job and the prospects of finding anything here other than part-time and minimum wage jobs are not good. She has a couple of job offers out of town, but the divorce decree states she will not move over 100 kilometers away from her present location. So she might not be able to take either job offer. The ex-husband is from Morocco. If she does move she has her present house to consider. She has a mortgage on it and it is in need of several repairs. So all in all it is a sad situation. We will be trying to get some of the priesthood to help with some of the repairs.
We took a YSA to lunch today. She is going to Northern College here in Haileybury.
Our Activity Night went very well. We only had 8 tonight, but we had a great time. Some of you might be interested in a short video I showed to start things off tonight. The link is below:

Hope you had a wonderful day. Love to all and good night brothers.

Bonnie:  I don't have much to add. I haven't been cold with the snow and wind, "knock on wood". I am so grateful for this coat from a former Sister missionary!
Tomorrow we plan on  Christmas shopping with the Cushman's. There are a few things for Christmas I need as well. Before we leave I will be making an apple pie for our Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday.  It will be an enjoyable day, hopefully. And we will pray for missionary experiences, too.
May everyone have an enjoyable day as well.
Love, Mom/Bonnie
