October 30, 2016

Bob: Not much happening today other than church. President Jakob released the Relief Society and Primary Presidents. He then called Sister Ng, the released Primary President, as the new Relief Society President. Bonnie remains as a Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency.
After church the new Relief Society Presidency wanted to have a 'short' meeting. Church was over at 1:30 and we ended up leaving between 3:30 and 4:00.
Snow is still holding off. Looking ahead there are no snow showers predicted until November 9th, the day we will be returning from Brampton. So all in all we are feeling pretty good right now about the weather.
Better sign off for now. Hope your weekend was good. Love to all.

Bonnie:  My talk went well, I think. I'm glad it's over! The new Relief Society President came to our meeting with a theme for our RS plus 8 goals she would like to see implemented. She will be quite a change, which will be a good thing. What is unfortunate is that both she and her new counselor will be out of town next Sunday, so I will be teaching a lesson on Visiting Teaching. It's a subject I love so I really don't mind. And the Sisters readily participate in the lessons.
We have a busy week because of two things: President Jakob wants to get in more wood for the winter and he has asked Bob and the Elders to help him on Wednesday. I will go, too, and bring in dinner for all of us, plus some for the next night. When his wife Patsy came today, she was still weak and tired. The only way she can take care of their foster daughters is with help, so that will be my job Wednesday. The second thing going on is another trip to Val D'Or to bring the Elders there a dresser and a chest of drawers. We have to borrow a truck from a member of the Branch. So, that will be Thursday or Friday. A third thing is that we will be bringing Cushman's down to look at an apartment tomorrow. We'll be putting lots of K's on the car this week!! But, it is all good.
I hope everyone had a delightful Sabbath today.
Love, Mom/Bonnie
