October 28, 2016

Bob: We went to Val-d'Or today to buy some furniture for the Elders. We got an electric range, refrigerator, 3 twin bed sets and a sofa. These were all new items. Then a Sister in the Branch took the Elders to a used furniture shop and bought a dining table and chairs plus lamps, occasional tables and some study tables. We went to Walmart and got various items they will need for the apartment. We left at 9:30 this morning and got home about 9:30.
We took the Elders to a member's restaurant. The Elders shared the big bowl of poutine below. Bonnie ordered a regular size dish of spaghetti shown below. We brought way over half of it home and plan to share it tomorrow night for dinner. I got a regular dish of poutine for myself. Didn't take a picture of it, but I ate the whole thing!! It was really quite good as the cheese was melted and the gravy was hot. Still feel full.
Time to go to bed. Love to all and good night brothers.

Bonnie: It's been a long day but a good one. It was interesting because we had prayed for a missionary experience and had one with the Elders. They invited us to a discussion this afternoon with a recent convert. We went in and she was there with her cousin, who had some questions about different things associated with what we believe. It was a good conversation and we enjoyed being part of it. It sounds like she will be attending church Sunday with her cousin!
In the picture of the spaghetti I ordered, it doesn't look as big as it really was. It will be ample for our meal tomorrow night.
Good night to all of our readers,
Love, Mom/Bonnie
