Bob: The funeral went very well today. Brother Vottero's children and 3 of his grandchildren all spoke and it went well. One daughter and her husband sang one her dad's favorite songs. A granddaughter later played another of Ron's favorite songs and the family sang. Both songs were Elvis Presley songs! One was 'I Can't Help Falling in Love With You'. After the funeral we had a nice luncheon at the church. There was much more food than was needed, but we'll use it tomorrow for the pot luck.
Our friend Norm Villneff came to the funeral. He walked off the hill where he lives to the funeral home. We were so glad to see him there. He went to the church with us and had lunch. I don't think we'll see him baptized before we leave, but I do think he will some day. Hope we get to see it.
Tonight Brad and Kayla, Jack and Trudy came for dinner. Bonnie put on a feast of roasted chicken, stuffing, special mashed potatoes, vegetables and blueberry cobbler for dessert. Everyone was stuffed for the 2nd time today. After dinner they stayed and we had a good time just visiting. Before we knew it, the time was 9:00. After they left we resorted to the dishwasher instead of washing the dishes by hand.
Weather warmed up to 25° today. Felt really nice with the bright sunshine. There was some fresh snow this morning, but it wasn't much.
Time for bed. Love to all and good night brothers.

Bonnie:  Things did go well today. And tonight, Jack asked Bob if he had been a member of the church all of his life. This led to Bob telling him his conversion story. This discussion happened while the rest of us were talking about something else so we didn't hear it. This is the first time Jack has ever initiated a discussion about the church. At least we feel that we have planted a seed with Jack. We hope to see them one more time before we leave. They are some of our most special friends.
Tomorrow will be our Branch Conference and pot luck. We sure eat well here in the Temiskaming Branch! I have a pizza we didn't eat today at the funeral luncheon that I will bake tomorrow.
May we all have a wonderful Sabbath tomorrow!!
Love, Mom/Bonnie
