February 1, 2017

Bob: This might be our last day of warmer weather. The temperature will drop considerably tomorrow. With the wind chill, they are predicting -35°F!! We're still planning on going out though. We'll see how it is in the morning.
Visited with our good friends Trudy and Jack today. We're having them, Brad and his two daughters over for dinner on the 11th. We will truly miss them when we leave.
Today as we were driving away from the apartment I noticed a young boy on a sled moving towards us on the sidewalk. He was not sitting still, but moving. It looked like a toy truck was pulling him. Then I saw his parents walking about 10 feet behind him. The dad was guiding the remote control truck that was pulling the boy. I did not know those remote control vehicles had that much power.
Ran some other errands today and tried to buy some chocolate kisses for our valentines project. We could not find regular Hershey kisses anywhere in town. We were able to get red and pink poster paper to make the valentine containers though.
Able to go swimming again today. Made it 1800 meters.
Time for bed. Hope you had a wonderful day. Love to all and good night brothers.

Bonnie:  We made some deliveries today to members of our Branch--a birthday card to a couple finally coming back to church, and some old New Era magazines to another young girl. We hope they will do some good there. We also did our Meals on Wheels deliveries. We had five stops to make, which is more than we started with. It's fun getting out to meet people. And our friend Lois wants us to stop by Friday night to chat. She is the sweetest lady, another person we will miss when we leave.
Tomorrow we hope to see some members and a potential investigator  and his wife. These are the friends of our Branch President and wonderful people.
The only other thing that happened is that I lost a pair of gloves! I don't know where I left them. Not to worry, however, because I have another pair. It sounds like tomorrow I will definitely need them.
Sleep tight, everyone!
Love, Mom/Bonnie
