August 20, 2016

Bonnie:  We finally met with a sister we have been trying to see for quite awhile. We had a great conversation with her, and she may come to church tomorrow to hear Elder Ballard! It all depends upon when the grand-kids arrive, so we will see.
Elder Ballard's and Elder  Bennett's talks were wonderful. They both stressed the importance of councils, not only at church, but as families and between husbands and wives. I wish we had done more of that with our children. Other than some cleaning, ironing and doing two loads of wash that sums up my day. We also had fresh peas for dinner. I've never cooked them before. They were better than I thought they would be.
I pray we will all have a wonderful  Sabbath Day tomorrow.
Love, Mom/Bonnie

Bob: I don't have too much to add to what Bonnie has said. Both talks in the broadcast today did stress councils. It would have been nice if the Elders Quorum, Relief Society, Young Women and Primary would have had someone there to hear it. At least the Branch President was there. The young missionaries were there, too, as well as our Branch clerk and the stake clerk who is in our branch. The couple who are the Branch Mission Leaders also attended.
Hope your day was great and that your Sabbath is even better. Love to all and good night brothers.
Dad/Bob
