December 27, 2016

Bonnie: Today we spent time helping Sister Benn by cleaning out a corner of her shop to make room for boxes and boxes of spring and summer clothing. Then we sorted through several boxes of hangers. It felt good to help her out. She gave us a collectors plate with a tiny easel as a remembrance for our mission to Canada. We visited with her husband afterwards. By this time it was late afternoon, so we went back to the apartment. After dinner, we had a visit with Donna at the nursing home. She seemed quite happy and said she had had an enjoyable Christmas with her family. All in all, it has been a good day.
My love to all of our friends and family!
Love, Mom/Bonnie

Bob: Bonnie has covered everything quite well. At the end of our visit with Donna, Bonnie asked her if there was anything we might do for her. She said that she would love to have some Chapman's ice cream. She didn't care what flavor as long as it was Chapman's. I must confess that I am partial to Chapman's black cherry. So tomorrow we'll take a look for some ice cream.
Time to close for the night. Love to all and good night brothers.
Dad/Bob
