Bob: A pretty restful day. Woke up about 6 but went back to sleep and awoke about 8:10! Caught up on my sleep and haven't had a nap all day.
Had to make a trip to the office to send off another rent application. This is the 6th application we have sent for the same set of Elders. Landlords keep turning us down and there isn't anything we can do about it. I have been told that landlords cannot discriminate, but the word my realtor gets from her boss is it would be a waste of time to try to force anyone to rent because the Ontario Rental Board lets the landlords decide who they rent to. If they don't want to rent to you, then you won't get the rental.
Had the 3 A/P's, Brampton Z/L, and Laura over for a lasagna dinner tonight. That was fun, but a lot of work for the first mate.
Been trying to update our YSA list with the Bishop's comments from Tuesday night. We're right on top of it!!!(Only 5 days after the fact.)
Weather went the full circle today. At times it was bright and sunny outside even though it was only in the 30s. Other times it was dark and cloudy. Also got some snow flurries that I tried to take a picture of, but it didn't turn out. Had to turn up the thermostat today. First mate will be happier.
Good night everyone. Good night brother.
Love,
Dad/Bob
Bonnie: It's been a great day! I've been able to accomplish a lot. And it was great to have the 5 Elders over with Laura. They gave a thought before they left about the Restoration and the need for prophets. It went seamlessly between the 5 Elders, with no planning ahead about who was to say what. I'm glad we had them over.
As Bob wrote, we are trying to figure out where to go next with the YSAs. The problem seems to be rides for many of them. We are picking up one tomorrow. We need to have their active peers bring them, but organizing that is a huge undertaking. More will be said about that in the Council meeting tomorrow according to our friends the Barretts, who attend that meeting. I hope so. Also, tomorrow I have 4 or 5 interviews set up with the Bishop. I'm sure that there will be some who will want to see him at the last minute as well. Such is the life of the Bishop's appointment secretary.
May all of you have a wonderful Sabbath day tomorrow. May what we do show our Savior how much we love and honor Him!
Love,
Mom/Bonnie
