July 10, 2015

Bob: Almost worked a normal day today. We were on schedule to leave at 5:00, but a few missionaries showed up and a senior couple with her parents came by. This took up some time, but we still were almost ready to call it a day when Bonnie got a phone call that a sister missionary was going home in the morning for medical reasons. So we had to get her packet ready and then wait for the flight itinerary to come in so I could determine how much money she would need for baggage. Got that all done and we still were leaving at a decent time when I remembered I had to bring the mission pickup and trailer with me so I would have them in the morning. The truck was almost completely empty so I had to stop and fill it up. Put $100 in it and it didn't fill it up! Gas was 1.149 a liter. Gas might be high in the states but not like here. Saw one station at 1.119, but it was jammed full of cars trying to fill up.
Yesterday was the strange day. It was weird that Bonnie got that call from the Bishop in Idaho saying Elder Smith's younger brother had just died and we were sitting in the car watching Elder Smith get a bike ready to ride back to his apartment. Just a real weird feeling. I wouldn't want to have to tell that news to anyone.
Found out today that I have to go to Brockville to close an apartment a missionary couple just left. Brockville is at least 4 hours away so it looks like this might be an overnight thing. Will take the first mate to help on this one. Apartment shouldn't be too bad as a senior couple was in it, but there is probably a lot of furniture to move.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Love,
Dad/Bob
