Bob: Long day today as we didn't get home till after 10:00. Things weren't too bad at work although I had to go to the bank. That is never fun. Had to deposit one check into our account. So it only took between 5 and 10 minutes.
We're moving out of an apartment in Brampton and the owner is claiming the missionaries mounted a rack and a stand for a TV to the wall. He wants us to take it down, repair the holes and paint it. Two of us of said we don't think the sisters did that, but he doesn't seem to believe us. We signed the contract for the apartment in June 2014 when Elder Gillen was here so I called him. He didn't go into the house, but he said we were renting the house from a member before it was sold to the present landlord. Found the old folder for the apartment and saw where he sold the house and moved to South America. Looked up his name on FACEBOOK and saw that the name I found was friends with our present Elder's Quorum President in the Churchville YSA. Gave him a call and he told me that was the guy that used to own the house. Sent the past owner a picture of the items in question and he told me that they were on the wall when he bought the house!! And that he sold the house with them still on the wall. Going to be talking to the landlord on Thursday about that.
Grace came by for her Tuesday lesson today, but she was over an hour late due to traffic. The Elders couldn't stay any longer so they left before she arrived. They asked Bonnie and I to talk to her about the Family Proclamation and the Plan of Salvation pamphlet. We had a good discussion with her and scheduled another appointment for Thursday at 9:30.
Went to Institute and then took a young sister home afterwards. She said she would have been waiting 30 minutes for the bus if we hadn't taken her home. Wasn't very far out of our way so we weren't delayed much at all.
Better get to bed. Bonnie sends her love, but she is in bed already. Love to all and good night brothers.
