April 24, 2016

Bonnie: We just got back from our Sr. Couples FHE and it was very enjoyable. The men had a Stake meeting for the High Priests tonight that we didn't know about until church today. So, we adapted and the women came about 7:30 and we talked about our favorite conference talks. Then, by the time the men got there we were able to watch President Monson's Sunday morning address. Bob and I each shared an example from our own lives of choosing the harder right rather than the easier wrong. Then, we finished by listening to Elder Holland's wonderful talk that was at the end of conference. It made for a very good FHE, I think.
Tomorrow is the Sr. Couples Retreat, beginning at the Mission Home with a pot-luck dinner. The Clayton's are hosting it and it will be wonderful, I'm sure.
Grace attended church today with us at the mid-singles ward and she met her "new" missionaries. We have a discussion Thursday morning at the Etobicoke Chapel. I hope it goes well.
I hope everyone has had a glorious Sabbath Day. It has been one for us!
Love, Mom/Bonnie

Bob: It has been an enjoyable day. Got to sleep in again. Hope I have enough rest in my tank to last me throughout the week!!
We were spiritually fed today as we attended two Sacrament Meetings. Elder Goobie, the Stake President's son, gave his home-coming talk today--he just returned from his mission to Virginia. In the other meeting they had their Ward Conference. Grace attended the Conference and she seemed to enjoy it. Looking forward to see how the sisters approach the lesson this coming Thursday.
Tonight the men went to the Stake High Priest Quorum Annual Meeting in Brampton. It was a good meeting with a lot of discussion about family history as you would suppose. One interesting thing is their stake indexing. A couple of years ago the stake did about 60,000 files for the year. Just in April of this year they have done 65,000 so far. That puts them over 170,000 for the year up to this point.
Better close and get to bed. Love to all and good night brothers.
Dad/Bob
