September 19, 2015

Bob: Went to Niagara Falls today. Stopped at the falls. Put some pictures below. The water was putting off a lot of mist today. We went with the CES couple, the Barrett's. They are from North Dakota. Had a nice enjoyable trip down and back. Ate a great lunch at Olive Garden (can't do that in Brampton), and went shopping at a few different places. Topped it off with blizzards at the DQ. Came home worn out though.
Weather is on the cool side again for the weekend and we have had some hard rain at times today. Going to warm up starting tomorrow though.
Hope everybody had an enjoyable day. Jerry and Lorraine are driving back from Arcadia today and tomorrow. Hope they are doing okay. Good night, brother.
Love,
Dad/Bob

Bonnie: We did have a lovely trip. Niagara Falls is awesome, especially on the Canadian side. And it was great to shop in the US for some things we needed. Sister Barrett bought 50 lbs. of flour, 25 lbs. of sugar and 25 lbs. of rice, plus large quantities of chocolate chips, powdered sugar and brown sugar, walnuts and pecans. She bought extra large cans, the size we put in food storage, of crushed tomatoes and other vegetables. All of this food goes into her soup kitchen on Friday nights for the YSAs at Institute and for the sweets she makes Tuesday-Thursday nights. She's a really good cook, and she follows the sage advice "if you feed them, they will come." Most of the YSAs work till 6 or 6:30 and they don't have time to go home to eat and make it back in time for Institute. I think it is awesome what they do for the YSAs here. The Barrett's will go home in November and anything that is left will go to the new CES couple that will replace them.
We're looking forward to church tomorrow. It's always the high-light of the week for me. May it be for all of you, too!
Love,
Mom/Bonnie
