Bob: Hello to everyone. The missionary work is going just fine. Acquiring an internet connection is NOT going so well. We thought it would be done today. The technician did not have access to the communications room at the high rise. Found out that WE have to coordinate access to the room. This is another 5 finger situation, 'Because You Are In Canada!!'. Will not have to wait until Monday the 25th to get the internet, if that date works. Will keep you posted. Until then, the FAMILY update emails and BLOG updates will be spotty. Depends on work hours, etc.
Received training yesterday on closing out an apartment. Thought we were touring Ontario yesterday as ended up going to Waterloo, then Hamilton, and finally back to Brampton. We were gone about 5.5 hours altogether. Got to close 3 more apartments this week. Nice to be out and moving around, but I'm losing valuable time on the accounting procedures. Elder Gillen will be walking out the door for good on May 28th, and he is leaving me his phone. And that means he will not have a phone!! Going to have to find someone to call for help.
I have got to go. Left Bonnie at the apartment washing clothes while I came to the office to do some computer work. Went to my credit union site to do some money transfers and found out that all the external transfers I had set up are no longer valid. Have to do each one over again. And they take time, the one thing we don't have to spare. It's beginning to feel like this treadmill is out of control.
Bonnie does have a phone that can take calls. Check your plan before you call however. Lori and Bonnie talked for a while. Then Lori found out she was charged by the minute for the call. Bonnie CANNOT call long distance yet. Our office phone is 905-452-7484.
