March 26, 2016

Bob: Did not get around to the blog last night as a terrific game of Mexican Train was going on. It didn't finish till around midnight so the blog was forgotten.
Yesterday turned out to be pretty cold, but we did take a trip to the aquarium in downtown Toronto and out to the office. Will try to post a picture later.
Enjoy your day as we are headed to a sugar maple festival and the St. Lawrence Market.
Later: We learned this morning that Renee's mother passed away on Wednesday. We send our heart-felt condolences.
We went to a sugar maple festival first. It was about 30 minutes away heading NE. As the day went along the temperature began to warm up. That was nice, but it created a problem when walking through the forests at the festival. There was ice on the tree limbs and it started to melt and fall off. As you walked you would get hit with small pieces of falling ice. The tour through the forest was nice as we learned and saw how they make maple syrup. It is a long process and takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. When we finished we had a pancake and sausage breakfast.
Then we drove to the St. Lawrence Market. Everyone picked out something they wanted to eat and then we bought everything and shared. We had a lot of different foods from different countries. Bonnie and I really liked something that was from Colombia. It was made from corn meal and cheese. Very tasty, especially with the hot sauce on it.
Our hardest task was getting back to the car. There was a sign that said 'Use the Stairs', but we could not find any doorway that was open. So we finally walked down the ramp which we weren't supposed to do. When I asked the toll taker where the stairs were he didn't know either. We eventually found some stairs on parking level 1 and walked down to our car then.
Hope everyone has a blessed Easter tomorrow. Love to all and good night brothers.
Bonnie says happy blessed Easter to all, as well.
